I removed the petrol tank to ensure that there was no rust behind the tank, which is common. I was really pleased to see that everything was original and perfect, I therefore rustproofed with POR15 and two coats of Bolt Hamber UB.
The jack points are perfect and original!!
Everything underneath appears original. All areas were injected and costed in three coats in Bilt Hamber.
This area can only be seen when the petrol tank is removed. The loose underseal was removed, and then the whole area treated in POR15 and Belt and Hamber products.
All brake shoes and cylinders were checked, and all in very good order with no leaks.
The top of the petrol tank had no rust, but nevertheless it was treated to a coat or POR15 and a wax sealant.
A new fuel tank sender unit was fitted.

New leather hangers were fitted - a pain of a job, but these should last another 50 years.
New shocks fitted to the front and the upper wishbone stops were also replaced.
