HONDA C90 (1976)
Reg UNM 776R
Purchased 22.7.21
4 Keepers
Date of Registration 1.8.76
Chassis C90-B-124188
6V Electrics
This delightful machine is very original with slight patina in the brown paintwork. It starts on a first kick and runs like the proverbial Swiss clock.
The genuine Honda windscreen fairing is a really nice period touch and has always been fitted but the screen cracked so have had a new replica made by 'Skidmarx '.
The early history of this C90- B series scooter is not known, it has a Bedfordshire ' R ' registration ( 1976 ), but was probably retailed by Bob Hill Motorcycles of Hertford at some time in its early history as dealer labels are applied to both side covers. It is totally original and unmolested with patinated paint and chromium on the engine cases , wheels and silencer and by no means concours but an extremely rare survivor in this cared-for condition with no structural rust issues whatsoever, which is the fate of most of these otherwise ' indestructible ' machines.
Once a common sight on the roads, now hardly ever seen - especially ones of this age. Could be enhanced further with little effort but personally I would leave it as it is.
Comes with the original correct Honda Instruction Manual. The full comprehensive tool kit was however, often missing , and clearly has never been used. Comes with a history file dating back to 2009, including all MOTs and tax discs.
